Factbot Terms of Use

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Factbot analyzes materials you send from Instagram or Telegram — text, photos, albums, and video up to five minutes — and answers with a fact-check summary you can keep in your personal memory. Factbot is an automated assistant: its answers can be incomplete or wrong and are not legal, medical, or financial advice.

Factbot is operated by Ivan Matveev, Tbilisi, Georgia (motya186@gmail.com). Using the bot means accepting these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use it.

Who May Use It

You must be at least 13 to use Factbot and at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to pay for it. If you pay with someone else's card or account, you confirm you are allowed to. Business use is allowed under the same terms.

Credits

Each analyzed material costs credits: 1 in Basic mode and 10 in Deep mode, which adds research across web sources and costs us proportionally more to run. The cost is shown before a paid run starts. If a run fails for a technical reason or is cancelled before a result, the credits for it are returned.

What You Buy

Credits come in two shapes. A monthly subscription sets a credit quota every month and renews until it is cancelled; unused subscription credits do not carry over to the next month. A one-off pack is a single payment, and pack credits never expire. Pack credits are spent only after the monthly quota is used up, so a pack is never consumed by a month you have already paid for. Credits granted outside a payment do not expire either.

Paying in Telegram Stars

Inside Telegram, credits are paid for in Telegram Stars, because Telegram's rules allow no other method for digital goods there. The subscription plans are:

and the one-off packs:

A Stars subscription renews every 30 days. What a Star costs you, and what reaches us, depend on Telegram and the applicable taxes.

Paying by Card

Outside Telegram — in particular from Instagram, where Stars do not exist — credits are paid for by card on a private page the bot links to. Current prices and plans are shown on that page.

Card orders are sold by Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates act as the merchant of record for those purchases: Paddle is the seller you contract with for the order, issues the invoice, collects any VAT, GST, or sales tax due, and handles payment disputes. Their buyer terms and privacy notice apply to the order itself; these terms apply to the service the credits are spent on. We never receive or store your card details.

Prices on the payment page are shown in your currency; taxes are calculated and added by Paddle at checkout according to your country. A card subscription renews automatically each month, on the date shown at checkout and in the receipt Paddle emails you, until it is cancelled.

Cancellation

A subscription can be cancelled at any time, and the credits of the period you already paid for stay available until that period ends. A one-off pack has nothing to cancel: it is a single payment, not a recurring one.

A Stars subscription is cancelled with the /pro command in the Telegram bot or through Telegram's own subscription settings. A card subscription is cancelled through the link in the receipt Paddle sent you, or by writing to @ivn_m on Telegram or @zwz5v on Instagram — we cancel it on the next working day at the latest, and never later than the next renewal date if you wrote before it. Write from the account that bought the subscription, or name it in the message, so we can find it.

Refunds

The full rules live on the refund policy page; the short version follows.

If the bot took credits and did not deliver an analysis, those credits are returned automatically — that is a service matter, not a payment one.

For a refund of the payment itself: Stars payments are refunded through the bot's /paysupport command or by email; card payments are refunded by Paddle, and you can request one either from Paddle directly or by writing to @ivn_m on Telegram or @zwz5v on Instagram, which we pass on. We do not refuse a refund for credits you have not used.

A refunded subscription payment withdraws the quota it granted. A pack can be refunded while its credits are unspent; credits already spent on delivered analyses are not restored, and a refund never pushes a balance below zero.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. Because credits are usable the moment a payment clears, you are asked at checkout to agree that the service starts immediately, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once you begin spending the credits. Credits you have not spent are refundable within those 14 days regardless.

Group Chats

Factbot can be called in a Telegram group by replying to a message and mentioning it, by mentioning it with a public link, by asking it whether something is true, or by replying to one of its own messages. Whoever calls it pays for that check from their own credits, and only that person can use the buttons under the answer. A verdict is a statement about the content that was checked, not about the person who posted it. The message being checked is processed by the providers listed in the privacy policy and, with automatic saving on, is kept in the requesting person's memory. Do not call Factbot on content you are not allowed to share.

Acceptable Use

Send materials you are allowed to share. Do not use Factbot to process illegal content, to harass anyone, or to circumvent the rules of Instagram or Telegram. We may suspend an account that does.

If we suspend or close an account for breaking these rules, unused paid credits are refunded on request; credits already spent are not.

What a Verdict Is and Is Not

A verdict is the output of automated models reading the material and, in Deep mode, a limited number of public web sources available at that moment. It is an assessment of statements, not of the person who made them, and not a certification of truth. Sources can be wrong, outdated, or contradict each other; models can misread a claim or miss context. Check the cited sources before acting on a verdict, and do not present a verdict as an established fact about anyone.

Factbot is provided as it is and as it is available. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and no warranty about the accuracy or completeness of any verdict, transcript, or memory entry.

Limits of Our Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, for lost profit, reputation, or data, or for anything you do or refrain from doing because of a verdict. Our total liability for any claim connected with Factbot is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused it.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or the statutory rights of consumers.

Availability and Ending the Service

Factbot depends on Instagram, Telegram, and model providers, and can be interrupted when they are. You can stop using it at any time and request deletion of your data through the data deletion instructions. We may discontinue Factbot with reasonable notice; if we do, unused paid credits are refunded on request.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and disputes about them belong to the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. Orders paid by card are additionally subject to Paddle's own buyer terms, which govern the sale itself.

Changes

Plans and prices can change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. The current terms always live on this page.

Questions

About a payment, a cancellation, or a refund, write to @ivn_m on Telegram or @zwz5v on Instagram — that reaches a person, not a queue. For anything formal — deleting your data, exercising your rights under a privacy law, or a legal notice — write to motya186@gmail.com.
